Bachelor of Science, major in Medical Biotechnology
Born in Sydney and grew up in Central West NSW, Jeffrey moved to Wollongong to complete a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biotechnology. After graduating he moved to the UK for 2 years where he began workng in food microbiology.
This was my first career work and ignited my passion for food science. I found it fascinating.
On returning to Australia Jeffrey then worked briefly in analytical chemistry in Brisbane, analysing ingredients for the formulation of chicken feed, before moving back to Orange to his first role in the pet food industry as a Formulation Specialist.
I loved applying my knowledge of ingredients to make high quality dry kibble.
In this role Jeffrey gained extensive knowledge of extrusion technology and began to lead new product development projects including factory trials. While at the same time formulating and developing nutritious wet foods.
Through it all I enjoyed most watching new products come to life and would proudly point out these new formulations that I worked hard on, to bring the best in nutrition to dogs and cats.
Joining Masterpet in 2024, Jeffrey brings many years of pet industry experience to the team at Pet Care Kitchen in Parkes.
I am glad to be in this role as I love animals and get to be at the forefront of providing them safe, wholesome foods that they enjoy eating.
At Masterpet, Jeffrey enjoys the varied aspect of the work and blending his experience with learning from our team of experts. Having rural roots, Jeffrey loves our approach to locally sourced ingredients. Being a pet owner reinforces the importance of quality control and nutritional completeness.
Jeffrey and his family, along with Roger the Standard Poodle and Poppy the Blue Cattle Dog, enjoy their peaceful life in Orange NSW.
